Here is how you can easily uninstall Internet Explorer 7 and restore back to Internet Explorer 6 in Windows. But please note that the method given below is only applicable for Windows computers which were upgraded from Internet Explorer 6 to Internet Explorer 7. Windows Vista on the other hand comes pre-installed with Internet Explorer 7 and so cannot be un-installed (at the end of the post I have given details on how to remove Internet Explorer in Windows Vista Machines).

- From the Start Menu goto the Control Panel.
- Click on the Add or Remove Programs.
- Scroll down to Windows Internet Explorer 7 and then click Change/Remove button.
- When prompted choose Next to start the uninstall process.
Once you have removed off Internet Explorer 7, your system should be automatically taken back to the Internet Explorer 6 without affecting any of your Internet Explorer settings.
If Internet Explorer 7 is not in Add or Remove Programs you can do the following:
From the Start Menu, select Run.
