YamiPod is a freeware application to efficiently manage your iPod. It can be run directly from your iPod and needs no installation. The cool thing is that it also has extra features such as rss news and podcast support, remove duplicates, easy notes editor (with multipage support), songs synchronization, playlists export and much more. It has also been translated in 12 languages.
So what's stopping you to be struck with iTunes(except if you always use the Online Store).
There are versions for Mac OS X, Windows and Linux.
